Branded Lolly Packs & Promotional Confectionery – Avoid Making These Classic Mistakes
I’ve evaluated a number of branded promotional lolly packs and haven’t yet been impressed with even one. The reason being, that after some time, they all started looking similar to me – typical, colorful packaging, promo info plastered all over it, low quality confectionery in it. So ho-hum, its enough to make one yawn in boredom.
In order to avoid the classic mistakes others make, you need to first understand what is just not done. Instead of re-inventing the wheel, or the packaging, run an eye over what has been over-done, over-hyped, and just doesn’t click anymore. Avoid these at all costs and you might have an excellent chance of getting a winner on your hands.
Avoid Branded Lolly Packs that are Not ‘Green’
I’ve actually seen people refuse freebies because of all the plastic, Styrofoam, and thermocol used to wrap it up. If you use simple brown paper or recycled paper to wrap up the candy then you will stand apart from the competition and you’ll win brownie points for being green and eco-friendly. You’ll also win over kids because they are more environmentally aware than other age groups.
Avoid Crass Branding Strategies
Can you think of another way to print your promo information in such a way that it carries the pertinent information without really cluttering up the candy cover? People hardly give a second look at the wrapper before trashing it.
Instead of wasting money on the wrapper, print your logo on the lollipop. They’ll suck it for ages and your logo will transfer positive subliminal messages. The next time they see your logo they’ll find it familiar and it will trigger pleasant memories.
Avoid Branded Lolly Packs That Are the Common ‘Favorite’
Chances are that there is probably one manufacturer in your area that everyone uses, the common favorite. If you use his products then your giveaway will look precisely that – common. Instead, scour sites which offer exclusive products and top notch confectionery. You’ll land up saving on costs, getting a good buy in exchange, as well as a giveaway that looks exclusive and stylish.
Put Yourself in the Shoes of Your Customer
How will you feel if your vendor palms off a cheap candy box as a ‘thank you’ to you? Instead, will you prefer to deal with another vendor who gives you a box of candy which looks and feel high class, stylish, and well-planned? Chances are, your customer will also feel the same way when he sees your freebie.
So plan your branded lolly packs in such a way that they reflect your own business standards of top quality and great attention to detail. < br>
