Different Materials used to Manufacture Promotional Products and Promotional Headwear

Most promotional caps and promotions headwear are made of cotton. Cotton, as a natural fibre has many advantages.

Brushed Cotton
Brushed cotton is the most commonly used material in making baseball caps. It allows the construction of a cooler and lighter cap from a material that is hard wearing and easily washed.

Cotton Twill
Cotton twill is amongst the most comfortable forms of promotional products material, offering the advantages of light breathable cotton with the smoother more luxurious finish of woven twill.

Spandex
Spandex cotton mix material is used in the most comfortable range of promotional caps. The flexible nature of the cotton spandex mix allows a more comfortable fit and removes the need for rear adjustment straps and buckles.

Nylon and Polyester
Hard wearing and economical, nylon and polyester headwear and caps can be found in most categories. generally synthetic headwear is only beanies or mesh baseball cap as brushed cotton is a softer and more breathable option.

Wool
The woolen caps available are actually a mix of brushed cotton and wool, typically 20% - 45% wool mix. The additional cost and weight makes them a more costly option but their long wearing toughness and the mix of natural fibres makes them the right choice for more premium promotional activity.

Acrylic Woven Fibre
Synthetic fibers combine the advantage of being simple to maintain and lightweight with also being cheaper than many "natural" or organic materials

Natural String Straw
A range of the more upmarket sun hats are made with thin string straw, generally painted after weaving to suit the colour combination of the promotional hat design

Palm Straw
Palm straw is a cost effective and natural looking promotional accessories material and is used extensively in sun hats and novelty hats

Polar Fleece
Polar fleece is a synthetic fibre specially designed to be soft and comfortable to the touch while possessing great heat retention qualities. While primarily used in beanies when employed in the manufacture of promotional headwear micro fleece or polar fleece produces a comfortable item which is easily branded.
